Floating Floors

Benefits of Floating Floors

When deciding the type of floors that you want in your home, there is a series of factors you need to keep in mind: How long will it last? What is it going to cost? Will it be easy to clean? Choosing a floating floor like LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) or LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tiles) will answer those questions. It is a durable type of floor that offers diverse styles and colors to suit your style. It is cost-effective and easy to clean and maintain with just sweeping, vacuuming, or mopping. Here at Calvin & Suttle in Goodlettsville, TN, we offer a wide variety of floating floors for you to choose. Fill out this form to get started with your new floor.

Why Floating Floors?

A floating floor is an installation system that doesn't require the flooring to be secured to the subfloor with glue or nails. Instead, it lays on top of the subfloor, and each panel or plank is secured to each other by a locking system and "floats" on top of the subfloor.

LVP

Luxury Vinyl Planks mimic the look and feel of real hardwood floors with the advantage of being water resistant. With regular sweeping and mopping, your floor will look as new as the day it was installed. Being a type of floating floor, it will not cause any damage to your subfloor.

LVT

Luxury Vinyl Tiles are designed to give you the look and feel of real tiles. There are countless options in styles and colors you can choose from without the fragility of actual tiles.

Laminate Floors

Although they all are floating floors, unlike LVP or LVT, which are made of vinyl, laminate floors are made of wood layers and have a vinyl core.
